WHAT'S INSIDE

THIS ISN'T JUST A HOUSE.
IT'S A SYSTEM.

Every Seed Eco-Home is packed with radical energy independence features — things you won't find in a $400K cookie-cutter build.

6 kW Solar + Thermal Battery

16 tanks × 250 gallons store heat and cool for 5 days without sun. The single biggest leap in off-grid renewable energy — no rare-earth batteries needed.

Geothermal Cooling

A buried water loop provides 100% summer cooling using simple heat exchange. Cool your home for near-zero cost, forever.

Biodigester Waste System

Converts waste into gas for cooking and power. The missing link between solar panels and true off-grid living.

Modular Construction

Build wall, floor, and roof modules in parallel — then assemble like life-size Lego. The secret to doing in 14 days what normally takes months.

Smart Home Ready

Wireless kinetic switches, smart outlets, and fully integrated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing — all designed into the modules from day one.

Expandable Forever

The modular design means you can add rooms, upgrade systems, or replicate the entire build on another lot. Your starter home grows with your life.

GOT QUESTIONS?

WE'VE GOT ANSWERS.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUILD A FULL HOUSE IN 14 DAYS WITH UNSKILLED PEOPLE?+

In 2016 we proved that 50 novices could build the original Seed Eco-Home in just 5 days. We later demonstrated building an entire floor in one hour. The secret is modular construction — you build wall, floor, and roof sections in parallel, like a swarm. Everything is designed so that no single task blocks another. Since then, we've integrated all utilities directly into the modules — making the build even faster. The result: a code-compliant home, from foundation to finish, in 14 days.

DO I NEED ANY BUILDING EXPERIENCE?+

None required. We've designed this for complete beginners — but builders and trades professionals will also learn a huge amount. Our modular approach is specifically engineered to make complex builds accessible to motivated non-professionals. We recommend reviewing our documentation before arrival, but the most important thing you need to bring is the desire to learn.

WHERE IS THE COURSE? HOW DO I GET THERE?+

The course takes place at Factor e Farm — OSE's 30-acre campus at 909 SW Willow Rd, Maysville, MO 64469. If you're flying in, Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is a one-hour drive to the southwest. Car rental is recommended. Lodging details are available on the OSE Logistics Wiki.

CAN I START A BUSINESS BUILDING SEED ECO-HOMES AFTER THIS?+

Absolutely — and we actively encourage it. All plans, designs, and business models are open source. OSE publishes open business models specifically to help graduates launch building enterprises. Housing is a trillion-dollar market. If you can build cost-effective, high-quality homes, demand is unlimited. See our wiki on Distributive Enterprise and Distributed Market Substitution for frameworks to get started.

WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED TO BRING?+

OSE provides all core tools for the build. We recommend you bring your own cordless drill set, tape measure, and hammer — because extra tools are always welcome. You must bring your own work boots, gloves, eye protection, and ear protection. These are non-negotiable for your safety.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?+

All sales are final because it's difficult to substitute participants at the last moment. However, if a scheduling conflict arises, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person or apply it toward a future OSE event of equal value. In the unlikely event of weather, disease, or civil unrest, the course will be rescheduled — current backup date is Feb 1–14, 2026. See the full Workshops Refund Policy for details.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CRASH COURSE - CAN I ACTUALLY BUILD MY OWN HOME?

Yes — and we have a program specifically designed for that. Immediately following the Crash Course, OSE offers 6 spots in the Financial Independence Package: you spend 6 more weeks at Factor e Farm building your own 720 sq ft home, which is then transported to your property on a 40-ft trailer — at the cost of $25K–$50K in materials. Application required. See the Financial Independence Package page for full details.
